ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A New Mexico Children, Youth, and Families Department worker is facing an aggravated battery charge after New Mexico State Police said she choked a teenager. According to a criminal complaint, Dajae Robinson got into an argument with the 16-year-old girl on Tuesday at the CYFD facility on Indian School Rd. in Albuquerque.
At one point, police say Robinson grabbed the girl by the neck and punched her before security stepped in. Robinson was arrested but has since been released. Robinson, who has worked at CYFD for seven months, is now on leave and could face more disciplinary action.
