A 19-year-old woman was sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit murder following a 16-year-old’s death.

Elaysha N. Underwood of Fort Wayne is one of three suspects initially charged with murder following the homicide of Le’Brisha Miangel Hobbs on or about July 5, 2022.

Underwood entered a plea in December 2023. She pleaded guilty to the conspiracy charge, and her remaining charges of murder and a sentencing enhancement for using the gun to commit the crime were dismissed when Allen Superior Court Judge Fran Gull accepted the agreement Wednesday.

The plea agreement outlined a 30-year sentence, including 20 years in prison and 10 on probation. Gull agreed with that sentence and said Underwood must comply with a term of the agreement that requires her
