COLUMBIA, S.C. — The News19 Weather Team has issued Weather Impact Alert Days for Thursday afternoon through Saturday evening.

Strong storms are possible Thursday, with damaging wind gusts as the greatest threat. Heavy downpours will be possible on Friday and Saturday. This may lead to flooding issues.

Wednesday night will stay dry and partly cloudy with temperatures falling to a low in the lower 70s. This will lead to a warmer morning on Thursday. The hot and humid conditions will continue tomorrow with high temperatures on Thursday reaching the low to mid-90s.

Humidity levels will also be on the rise, making it feel more uncomfortable than in recent days. Heat index values could reach the upper 90s this afternoon, which is unusually warm for late September.
