New Delhi: Medical consumables maker Poly Medicure has announced the acquisition of a Italy-based orthopedic device maker Citieffe for a total consideration of Rs 324 crore (€31 million)

The company has signed a definitive agreement to acquire 100 per cent equity stake in Medistream SA—consisting of Citieffe SRL and its step-down subsidiaries in US and Mexico.

Under the agreement, Poly Medicure will execute a total upfront payout of € 23 million, taking over net external debt of € 8.1 million— thereby bringing the total transaction value to €31 million.

The Italian device manufacturer specialises in orthopaedic trauma and extremities segment and has 45 patented devices distributed across over 25 countries
