Big Hero Shuts Down 'Money-Minded' Tag

Superstar Akshay Kumar, one of India’s top-paid actors, producers, and highest taxpayers, has dismissed rumours of being “money-minded.”

Appearing on Aap Ki Adalat while promoting Jolly LLB 3, Akshay said: “Yes, I earn money—but not by cheating. I’ve worked hard for it. For the last eight years, I’ve been the country’s highest taxpayer. That itself proves I’m not money-minded.”

He added, “I earn, I pay my taxes, and I use a large part of that money for service. That is my duty. As long as one is working honestly, there’s no issue.”

The actor also revealed that he once invested his own money to complete a film when its producer ran into financial trouble — showing that he values commitment over profit.
