Jessica Chastain is speaking out about Apple's decision to postpone the Sept. 26 premiere of the new AppleTV+ thriller series “The Savant," which she stars in.

The Oscar winner, 48, shared a statement Sept. 24 on her official Instagram account. In it, she says she wasn't "aligned" with the company's move to delay the first two episodes of the series, which tells the story of an undercover investigator, played by Chastain, who infiltrates online hate groups in an effort to prevent domestic attacks.

"I want to say how much I value my partnership with Apple. They’ve been incredible collaborators and I deeply respect their team," Chastain began her statement. "That said, I wanted to reach out and let you know that we’re not aligned on the decision to pause the release of 'The Savant."
