WAUKEE, Iowa —

The top-ranked high school girls tennis player in the state is only 14 years old.

Addison Latta is a freshman at Waukee Northwest High School. Not only is she undefeated in her first high school season, but Addison hasn't even lost a set.

She's won almost every match in straight sets, usually blanking opponents 6-0, 6-0. Most of her matches only take about half an hour.

At the Regional Finals on Sept. 17, she won all three of her matches 6-0, 6-0, finishing the day winning 36 games and losing zero to punch her ticket to the State Individual Tournament.

Wednesday, she was showing off her game in the Regional Semifinals of the team competition, helping Waukee Northwest advance by beating Lewis Central.
