POSEYVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — After counting up 2,019 total votes, North Posey’s Carter Schickel was named our Week 5 Home Team Friday MVP of the night.

The junior quarterback threw for 302 yards and a school record seven touchdowns on just 18 completions. Schickel was lights out in the Vikings' 49-6 win over Pike Central. He secured 87.1 percent of the votes to claim MVP, and cemented himself in the North Posey history books.

"Feels good you know to be out there," he said. "You know people know my name a little now so. It's a great feeling knowing that you can make your mark on history and you know just do your thang out there and let everybody see it."

Schickel and the Vikings will host South Spencer Friday, September 26th.
