A Cincinnati woman celebrated a very special birthday on Wednesday!

Ruth Watkins celebrated her 109 th birthday with a celebration at the Twin Lakes Senior Living Community in Montgomery. Advertisement

A huge Cincinnati Reds fan, Ruth has been watching the Reds since they played at Crosley Field. She even threw out the first pitch at Great American Ball Park in 2013, ahead of her 97th birthday.

In 2021, Watkins was featured on the "Today" show, with her face appearing on the show's Smucker's birthday jar.

Ruth said the secret to a long life is a good attitude.
