NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A Metro Nashville Public Schools teacher was arrested on Wednesday night on a sexual exploitation of a minor charge.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, the arrest of 28-year-old Alexander Donahoe was the result of an investigation conducted by the MNPD's Internet Crimes Against Children Unit.

Donahoe is a teacher at Jere Baxter Middle School.

MNPD officials said an investigation began in March after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children reported a computer IP address in Nashville being used to conduct reverse image searches for sexual pictures of minors.

Subpoenas to the internet service provider identified Donahoe as the subscriber, according to police.

Donahoe admitted to possessing child sexual material, officials said.
