For the first time in nearly a quarter century, the Seattle Mariners are champions of the American League West.

And with just one more win, they’ll seal up a first-round bye and homefield advantage in the ALDS.

Cal Raleigh homered twice to reach the 60 on the season, and the Mariners put up five runs in the first two innings and never looked back while cruising to a 9-2 win over the Colorado Rockies to clinch the first division title since 2001.

Raleigh hit a solo home run two batters into the bottom of the first, Julio Rodríguez made it back-to-back solo shots three pitches later, and Jorge Polanco tacked on another solo homer to make it 3-0.
