Our viewer, Kathleen, wants to know: Is it legal in the state of Missouri for landlords to charge a pet deposit or a pet fee?

The American Veterinary Medical Association reports three-quarters of American Households own a pet.

Those pets come with expenses. And one of them can be a pet deposit if you’re renting. You could also be charged a monthly pet fee.
