Housewives of the city have undoubtedly noticed during the past few days an unusual color to the city water; it has been caused by the installation of the new water-softening plant at the water works station.
This plant has been installed by the Pittsburgh Manufacture company, and when completed will cost the city approximately $15,000; it will be tested for a period of thirty days before offered to the city for acceptance and the thirty-day testing period began a week ago.
