EUGENE — Matayo Uiagalelei appreciate how difficult it was to bring down Drew Allar.

Penn State’s quarterback was literally in the Oregon edge rusher’s hands on a late fourth down in last year’s Big Ten Championship game. Uiagalelei had a hold of Allar’s jersey when he threw a 14-yard touchdown to Harrison Wallace III to bring the Nittany Lions within a score with 3:41 to play against the Ducks, who went on to win.

“I’m thinking I’m about to sack him and I look up and he throws the ball when he’s in my arms and throws a touchdown,” Uiagalelei said. “I don’t know if it’s underrated or not, but one of the best parts about his game is his movement. He’s not a guy who’s going to maybe even outrun you, but he has good enough speed and his pocket awareness is pretty good.”
