A suspect has been charged in a Friday night shooting that caused an early end to an Alabama high school football game .

The shooting, authorities have said, was not related to Lanett High School vs. LaFayette High School game but happened nearby.

Brint Latrell Bailey, 49, is charged with murder in the slaying of 42-year-old Eric Calloway.

Crime Stoppers on Wednesday, however, said the investigation is still ongoing and Lafayette detectives are still seeking more information. A reward is being offered by Crime Stoppers.

The shooting happened at 8:30 p.m. Friday at the corner of Alabama Avenue East and Seventh Street N.E. Lafayette’s Bulldog Stadium is also located on Alabama East.
