Following massive protests demanding Ladakh statehood, the Union Home Ministry informed that the situation in Ladakh is now under control, with no incidents of violence reported since then. The turbulence by the protesters subsided around 4 pm on Wednesday, the Centre informed.

In a statement, the ministry urged people to refrain from circulating old or provocative videos in the media and on social media platforms.

“Barring the unfortunate incidents that occurred earlier in the day, the situation in Ladakh was brought under control by 4 pm,” the statement said.
