Dad submerged 47-day-old baby in boiling water but that was just the start of the horror

A father plunged his 47-day-old baby into scalding water during a campaign of horrific abuse. Doctors say the infant sustained severe second-degree burns across approximately 42 per cent of her body.

Medical experts believe the child was either immersed in 45C water for an hour and a half or 55C water for 17 seconds. According to the Second Section of the Provincial Court of Málaga, this marked only the beginning of the savage abuse endured by the baby and her elder sister.

Beyond the burns, which covered her back, buttocks, thighs, legs, arms and genitals, the infant had bite-like bruises, injuries to the auricles and burns on her neck and chest, reports the Mirror . She also sustained numerous other appalling injuries including fractures and swelling.
