The 56th foundation day of the National Service Scheme was celebrated enthusiastically at Bharatiya Shaheed Sainik Vidyalaya, Nainital with the participation of all the volunteers.

In his address, the principal Bishan Singh Mehta explained how the NSS had been established to instil a sense of national service among youth and how the volunteers continue to play a vital role in transforming the society through various initiatives. The second phase of the programme was attended by the municipal council president, Saraswati Khetwal and the special guest was the school’s former NSS in-charge, Govind Singh Nayal.
