WATERBURY, Conn. (WFSB) - Students in Waterbury are heading back to class Thursday morning after schools were closed due to a massive water main break on Tuesday night.
Several schools, including Crosby High School, are making temporary adjustments as crews continue work on repairs.
Due to ongoing concerns about water quality, the district is preparing food off-site for some schools, and bottled water is being provided throughout the day.
A boil water advisory is still in place for homes and buildings that lost water service or experienced very low pressure during the outage.
Officials say residents should boil water before drinking or cooking with it, and run faucets until the water runs clear.
