Downpours are on the menu today.

We’re watching waves of rain come at us from an advancing warm front. This front is loaded with water vapor (and we’ll feel that with the higher humidity).

At stake is up to an inch or more of water. This is the kind of setup where some spots come away with as much as 3 inches (!) -- along with the potential for localized flooding.

Where that sets up is still up in the air -- like all weather (tongue firmly in cheek) -- and will come down to where/if thunderstorms form.
