A UK competition watchdog has secured formal undertakings from Ticketmaster to ensure fans receive clear information when purchasing tickets, following concerns over the sale of Oasis tour tickets. The commitments aim to make it obvious to buyers what they are paying for and provide greater transparency around ticket pricing. ‌

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) launched an investigation after widespread complaints about the Oasis ticket sale, with two main issues identified. Fans waiting in long queues were not told that standing tickets were being sold at two different prices, with costs rising once the cheaper tickets sold out.
