Two notorious drug peddlers arrested with pistols, cartridges and intoxicants in Ferozepur

Ferozepur, September 25, 2025: In a crackdown on anti-social elements, Ferozepur police arrested two accused—Jaswinder Singh alias Deep (23) and Shamsher Singh alias Sherry (25)—who are already facing five cases each under the NDPS Act, Prisons Act and Arms Act.

During the operation, police recovered two pistols (one 32-bore and one 30-bore), two magazines with 20 live cartridges, 450 habit-forming drug tablets, 10 ‘zarda’ sachets, and a backpack from their possession.

Senior Superintendent of Police Bhupinder Singh Sidhu said the arrests are part of an intensified drive to curb crime, drug trafficking and illegal arms in the district. He added that both accused have a history of drug-related and
