ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Two SLMPD patrol vehicles collided while responding to a shooting in north city overnight.

The vehicles were responding to the scene where a man was critically injured in a shooting.

According to police, the shooting happened just before midnight along Fair Avenue and Rosalie Street.

Police say the man was found inside a parked vehicle on the street.

He was then taken to the hospital for treatment of a gunshot to his head.

While on the way to the shooting, two SLMPD vehicles collided with one another at W. Florissant and Pope Avenue.

Nobody was injured, but reports indicate that one car was heavily damaged. Police believe the accident was caused by wet roads.
