MORGANTOWN — There will come a time around midday Saturday, a few hours before West Virginia kicks off its 3:30 p.m. game against Utah, when perhaps the bells across the state should begin to chime, for there will be a mystical moment that falls over the state.
The Mountaineers are inducting their 35th Hall of Fame class, which has six members, but it will be two absentee inductees who will hover above all else in a magical, memorable moment that brings former coach Bill Stewart and former placekicker/punter Pat McAfee back together again along with former assistant football coach Bill Kirelawich, baseball and football’s Darrell Whitmore, rifle’s Petra Zublasing and track and field’s Chelsea Carrier-Eades.
