CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Charleston County and community partners will provide a life-saving tool and training on Thursday as they work to combat deadly overdoses.
People can visit a Narcan distribution pop-up at one of six locations around the county, where they will be given free naloxone and training on how to use the medication, which can rapidly reverse an opioid overdose.
Advocates say, like a first-aid kit, everyone should have access to naloxone because it could save a life, adding that it should be kept in every home and car.
Those interested in receiving the tool, gaining knowledge about how to use it, and learning how to prevent an overdose can stop by one of the following locations: • Wakeup Carolina – 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. 217 Lucas Street, Suite G – Mount Pleasant •
