Preschoolers invited to Parents as Teachers’ Roll & Read

The Parents as Teachers’ 8th annual Roll & Read event will take place from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, Sept. 26 at Safety City, 165 S. Concord Street.

Roll & Read is for families with children five years and younger. Admission, parking and all activities at the event are free. You do not have to be a Parents as Teachers program participant to attend the Roll & Read event.

This year’s theme is Pirates & Mermaids. Books will be read throughout the event, along with fun learning activities and free giveaways. More than 20 community vendors will be in attendance. Children will participate in fun activities such as face painting, making pirate hats, and painting seashell necklaces. Pirate and mermaid themed books will also be read at th
