Bengaluru, Sep 25: Actor Darshan, accused in the Renukaswamy murder case, has filed a discharge application claiming that he is innocent and has been falsely implicated.

Following the cancellation of his bail, Darshan is once again lodged in jail. The trial in the murder case began today, with Darshan and his associates appearing before the sessions court via video conference from Parappana Agrahara prison.

Darshan’s lawyers submitted a plea seeking that he be discharged from the case. The application reportedly states, “I am innocent. All the evidence collected against me is fabricated. I have no role in the Renukaswamy murder case, hence I should be discharged.”
