An online fundraiser for a teen girl killed in a crash in Taunton late Friday night has raised more than $45,000 toward its $50,000 goal as of Thursday morning.
Savannah Salemme, 18, of Dighton, was killed when a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck she was driving hit the front porch of a home in Taunton around 10:13 p.m. Friday night. The truck then rolled into parked cars in the driveway of the home, and was fully engulfed in flames when Taunton police officers arrived on scene, according to the Bristol County District Attorney’s office.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The GoFundMe, created by Salemme’s uncle, described her as a “loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, best friend.”
