DCM Tyngsong said politics should not be communalised and focus should be on the development of the state

Amid the Hynniewtrep Integrated Territorial Organisation (HITO) demand for a Khasi or Jaintia Chief Minister in Meghalaya, Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong has made it categorically clear that he has no ambition of becoming the Chief Minister.

He said that no matter which community the CM is from, the focus should be on the development of the state, and interests of the people of the state should be the priority.
