The Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) has issued a call for research proposals to enhance the upcoming Venus Orbiter Mission (VOM), also known as Shukrayaan.

The mission is designed to investigate Venus's atmospheric properties, surface characteristics, and solar interactions, marking a significant step in India's planetary exploration program.

Isro seeks participation from Indian research institutions to study key aspects of Venus.

WHAT WILL SHUKRAYAAN STUDY?

The mission will focus on Venus's morphology, topography, and sub-surface features, aiming to deepen scientific understanding of the planet's structure and evolution.

Investigations will include geological mapping, mineralogy, and the surface composition of Venus, providing insights into its crust and mineral resources.
