New Delhi: The national capital city of Delhi is set to witness artificial rainfall between October 7 and 9, within a radius of 100 kilometres, the city’s Environment Minister, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, has announced.
The initiative will be carried out at an estimated cost of Rs 3.2 crore, with five trial operations planned across the capital. Each subsequent trial is expected to cost approximately Rs 20 lakh.
Sirsa highlighted that Delhi has enjoyed 182 days of clean air this year so far, underscoring the city’s ongoing environmental efforts.
