Fall is in the air. Temperatures are far from crisp, but you can tell by the huge quantity of Halloween candy on display and the fact that you can order almost anything in pumpkin flavor.

While the Deep South lacks the autumnal foliage of New England, our thoughts turn to color as we approach the cavalcade of holidays that will soon be upon us. Beginning with Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas, New Orleans flows right into the Carnival season.

Celebration becomes the order of the day, and with it comes thoughts of freshening up our homes before guests arrive.
