Francophone community through the raising of the Franco-Ontario flag at Town Hall on

Thursday, September 25. The Gateway signs at both ends of Town, and the Miners Memorial site will also be lit with green commemorative lighting.

“Franco-Ontarian Day is an opportunity for us to honour our French-speaking residents

and to show our appreciation for their contributions to the cultural and historical fabric of

our Town,” said Mayor Stacy Wight. “We are proud to fly the Franco-Ontarian Flag here

at Town Hall as a symbol of our commitment to diversity and inclusion.”
