Mankachar: Hatsingimari Global Hospital in South Salmara-Mankachar marked World Pharmacists Day with a series of meaningful initiatives, combining community service with heartfelt remembrance. Patients were provided free meals, while a tree plantation drive was organised in honour of legendary Assamese singer Zubeen Garg, paying tribute to his memory and praying for the eternal peace of his soul.

Speaking to the media, a hospital pharmacist highlighted the rising number of unlicensed pharmacies in the district, which he compared to “mushrooms growing overnight.” He cautioned residents against buying medicines from outlets lacking proper authorisation, stressing the importance of safe and regulated pharmaceutical practices.
