As the Yolo County Board of Supervisors grapples with a budget deficit, it also needs to find money to cover the rising costs connected to the deadly Esparto fireworks explosions .

Yolo County leaders are voicing their frustration as the costs related to the cleanup and investigation of the explosion are $1.7 million.

There are two separate items Yolo County is dealing with: the rising costs for security, fencing, and debris removal at the site of the deadly explosion, and the potential criminal investigation.
