Tropical Storm Humberto formed Wednesday afternoon in the Atlantic Ocean, and forecasters expect another disturbance nearby to become Tropical Storm Imelda in the coming days.

Humberto is forecast to continue strengthening, forecasters with the National Hurricane Center in Miami said Thursday morning, becoming a major hurricane by Monday while keeping east of Bermuda. Meanwhile, several Caribbean islands and the U.S. East Coast were advised to track Invest 94L.

With the two storms likely to stick close together, forecasters are monitoring for the Fujiwhara effect, where two systems interact and impact each other's tracks. Usually, one of the systems absorbs the other.
