MIAMI – Tropical Storm Humberto is continuing to become better organized as it spins across the Atlantic , and forecasters say it will likely strengthen into a major hurricane ( Category 3 or higher) in the coming days.

The eighth named storm of the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season, Tropical Storm Humberto was formerly known as Invest 93L.

A tropical storm is a tropical system that has sustained winds of between 39 mph and 73 mph. Humberto will be designated a hurricane when maximum sustained winds reach at least 74 mph.

HOW TO WATCH FOX WEATHER

As of the latest advisory from the National Hurricane Center (NHC), Tropical Storm Humberto has maximum sustained winds of 45 mph with some higher gusts.
