Baltimore police are investigating after a 16-year-old girl in the custody of the Maryland Department of Human Services was found dead at a hotel earlier this week.

Kanaiyah Ward was found dead inside a hotel in the 800 block of North Wolfe Street near Johns Hopkins Hospital on Monday. Police said her death was listed as “questionable” because there were no signs of foul play.
