Tottenham Hotspur are already inclined to take up their option to sign Joao Palhinha permanently, talkSPORT understands.

The 30-year-old has made an excellent start to his Spurs career after signing on loan from Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window.

Thomas Frank 's side have the option to turn the defensive midfielder's temporary stay into a permanent switch for around £27million.

And the Danish boss is keen for the north London giants to trigger that option.
