ORCHARD PARK - Having played in the Thursday night game in Week 3 , Sean McDermott and the Buffalo Bills were able to kick back last weekend and watch NFL games on television like the rest of us.

And one thing that jumped out to McDermott and his special teams coordinator, Chris Tabor, were the four blocked field goals that occurred during three of the Sunday 1 p.m. games. It was chaos on special teams, most blocked field goals in any NFL week since 1991.

In the span of about a half hour the Eagles blocked two kicks by the Rams, the second of which turned defeat into victory; the Jets blocked a Buccaneers kick and returned it for a touchdown; and the Browns blocked a kick by the Packers which keyed their late-game rally to victory.
