An Edmond mother of two had her moment in the spotlight during the season 49 premiere of CBS’s “Survivor.”
Kristina Mills, 35, is a career counselor at the University of Oklahoma. She joined 17 other castaways on Wednesday, Sept. 24, as the long-running competition series began its 25th year on the air.

Mills described herself as a city girl who doesn’t always mesh with the wilderness. Early in the episode, cameras caught her reacting to animals around camp — especially when she revealed an unexpected phobia.
