ALTO, Texas (KTRE) - The Alto Yellowjackets started the season by losing their first two games, but have picked up back-to-back wins and are looking for a postseason berth for the first time since 2021.

Alto Head Coach Brock Grigsby spoke with KTRE Sports Director Ryan Smith on the Red Zone Preview show. The Yellowjackets host Cushing on Friday. The Bearkats are 3-and-1 this year and Grigsby says Friday’s game will be a challenge.

“They play with great effort, whistle to whistle. Defensively, they’ve kind of switched some things up there too, but they’re playing great defense,” Grigsby said. “I want to say through these four games, they’ve give up very few points. They’ve also scored quite a few points...We have our work cut out for us and I’m anticipating a great challenge Friday.”
