The Phoenix Public Library had a record number of participants in its summer reading program this year, bringing in more residents to the library.
The summer reading program encourages readers of all ages to read at least 20 minutes per day and to log that reading time on MaricopaCountyReads.org.
Phoenix had 25,529 residents participate in the program this year, beating last year’s total by 140. In total, participants read for more than 23 million minutes, as they did in 2024.
