You have two opportunities to take home a tree.

New Castle County is supporting the Tree for Every Delawarean Initiative by scheduling two giveaways of native trees. Trees of several species will be available to bring home and plant this Friday at Glasgow Regional Park, and Friday October 3rd at Rockwood Park, between 11 and 1:30.

The Delaware Department of Natural Resource s and the Delaware Forest Service are also supporting the project. Registration is strongly encouraged for the "TEDI" tree give-away.

The goal of TEDI is to have one-million trees planted by 2030.
