TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - A broken sprinkler caused a dormitory building at the University of Arizona to flood.
The university confirmed that more than two dozen students were displaced.
The university says a sprinkler nozzle on the 8th floor of the Arizona tower in the Arizona-Sonora residence hall was damaged by a student playing with an empty five-gallon water jug.
The water leak forced University Housing and Residential Life to put up some of the residents in other dormitories.
Others are staying with friends of family off campus.
The university says the student did not intend to cause any damage.
There’s no indication of malicious intent on their part.
