MACON COUNTY, Ala. (WTVM) - A two-vehicle crash in Macon County has claimed the life of a Georgia woman.

A two-vehicle crash on Wednesday, September 24, at approximately 12:57 p.m. claimed the life of 59-year-old Sarah Holiday of Warm Springs, Georgia, according to ALEA.

The crash occured on U.S. 80 near the 184-mile marker, approximately 10 miles east of Tuskegee, in Macon County.

Officials report that Holiday was fatally injured when the 2020 Nissan Kicks she was driving collided head-on with the 2001 Dodge Ram pickup driven by Justin D. Hagler, 50, of Opelika.

Holiday was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hagler was also injured in the crash and was transported by helicopter to Piedmont Regional Medical Center in Columbus.
