COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - After beneficial rain Thursday across much of the Chattahoochee Valley, a bit of shower activity remains in the forecast. But a drying trend is still in the forecast over the weekend.

Clouds and some sun on this Friday. There is a chance of occasional showers at any time of the day with spotty afternoon thunderstorms. Highs mostly in the low 80s; a few could reach the mid 80s.

Partly to mostly cloudy Friday night. A chance of showers remains. Fog develops overnight. A little cooler with lows in the mid to upper 60s early Saturday.

Look out for fog around Saturday morning. Otherwise, clouds will give way to more sun as the day progresses. A few isolated showers are possible with rain coverage around 20%, but the vast majority stay dry. Highs between 84 and 87 degre
