HOOVER, Ala. ( WBRC ) - A Hoover man has pleaded guilty to hiring someone to kill his wife and six kids.
Mohammad Mohammad, 64, entered his plea before U.S. District Judge Madeline H. Haikala to seven counts of murder-for-hire.
According to court documents, in September 2024, Mohammad met with an undercover law enforcement officer who he thought was a hitman. Mohammad discussed with the undercover officer the cost of killing his wife and six adult children.
Mohammed allegedly offered to pay the undercover officer $20,000 for the murder of his wife and an additional $5,000 each for his six children.
He faces a statutory maximum sentence of ten years for each count.
The FBI investigated the case along with Assistant U.S. Attorneys Jonathan S. Cross and William R. McComb.
