CLEVELAND, Ohio — The city of Cleveland has announced plans to close the eastbound (inbound) Shoreway at West 45th Street starting after this Friday's (Sept. 26) morning rush hour at approximately 10 a.m.
The road is scheduled to reopen in time for the Monday morning commute.
It's the second weekend this month that a portion of the Shoreway has been closed following a "major" water main break near West 45th Street that caused "significant flooding." The city says crews will continue making repairs to the damaged water main under the roadway.
The closings of the Shoreway have coincided to weekends where the Cleveland Browns have played games on the road.
"Evening commutes will not be impacted — the westbound (outbound) Shoreway will remain fully open throughout the closure," the city
