On Wednesday, Sept. 24 on the Gehrig Johnson Athletic Complex turf in Presque Isle, two of the top early season teams in boys Class B North soccer battled for 80 minutes, with the Caribou Vikings pulling off the exciting 3-2 victory over the Wildcats, handing Presque Isle their first loss of the season.
Caribou built a first half 2-0 lead on two goals by Owen Corrigan, the first on a pass from Carter St. Pierre, and the second on a long lead pass from Nic Plourde. Isaac Gogain got the Wildcats on the board late in the first half on a feed from Pruet Dionne. Presque Isle tied it up when Jackson Greaves knocked in a direct kick by Brandon Porter into the net.
